Stan Polson was born in Reddersberg, South Africa and grew up in Rustenburg and Pretoria. He is a self-taught acclaimed artist, known for his colorful, tranquil landscape scenes. Stan Polson did not have the opportunity to study fine arts and worked in corporate for many years before becoming a full-time artist after the birth of his daughter.

Stan Polson is based in South Africa believes that colour has the ability to set a mood instantaneously and therefore the vivid use of colour in my paintings which are usually tranquil scenes ,a place everybody wants to be , but set in such a manner as to make a statement. My daughters smile , the smell of wet earth after the rain , a beautiful day and all that makes life worth living is where I get my inspiration. God gave us one life to live , it’s best we live it to the fullest….
