Abstract Flowers 2 Mixed-Medium Painting by Cornelie Wolff

SKU: CWA-035

Abstract Flowers 2 Mixed-Medium Painting Dimensions: 30 cm x 30 cm x 4 cm Medium: Oil This isn’t merely a floral scene; it’s a dynamic, vibrant journey into a dreamlike garden, where imagination takes root and colour reigns supreme! Wolff’s brilliant artistry transforms the canvas into a kaleidoscope of blooming forms, using both the rich texture of oil and the exciting possibilities of mixed media. Witness a symphony of lively purples, sunny yellows, fiery oranges, soft pinks, and crisp whites that dance across the canvas, each stroke breathing life into an imagined botanical wonderland. The impasto technique gives the flowers a wonderful, tangible quality, as if they are reaching out from the canvas to greet you. The background is a luminous blend of warm golds and ethereal light, creating a sense of boundless space and sun-drenched possibility. The true magic of this mixed-medium painting lies in its vibrant, spontaneous energy. It evokes the feeling of a perfect, hazy summer day, the joyful chaos of nature, and the sheer delight of a moment lost in a field of vibrant blooms. It’s a bold, fresh, and unforgettable take on floral art that will infuse your space with daily happiness and a spirited artistic flair. Mixed-Medium Cornelie Wolff Approaching Art from a Different Angle This Johannesburg-based artist started as a pharmacist.  After completing her Honours Degree in Psychology, she joined Helios to further her skills in Art Therapy.   During this time, she fell in love with art, the process and the emotional power it yields. While raising her family, which consisted of three young children, she took part-time classes with Rika de Klerk and Willie Jacobs.  She also attended workshops led by Koos Bronkhorst, Niel Moss, Willie Jacobs, Rentia Coetzee, Ruth Walters, Elize Bezuidenhout, Douw van Heerden, Charla Maarschalk, and Jennifer McChristian. Today, she practices what she preaches by creating her work under the motto: “With every painting I complete, I grow as a person and an artist.” My art is created from a place of wonder – it is my dream for every human to never completely lose the child inside them, because it is our ability to see wonder and magic in things.  I use bold brushstrokes, contrast and an impressionistic approach to entice the viewer to create their own interpretation of the subject and become part of my world.
